SHPE Silicon Valley is helping its friends at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area promote their mentoring program with local youth in the Bay Area because it’s in need of Latino mentors. Over 200 children are waiting to be matched in the Bay Area, yet only nine Latinos are waiting to be matched with a child.

What’s involved? A mentor meets with a child (ages 6-16) twice a month during a one year period. The program is flexible and there are no mandatory activities: you can do what you and your Little enjoy doing together.

Relationships are professionally supported by BBBSBA staff. If you are interested contact Hispanic Partnership Coordinator, Erica Argueta at eargueta@bbbsba.org.
