The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) Silicon Valley Professional Chapter is a local non-profit organization providing charitable programs that give back to the community, help students pursue careers in STEM and complete college, and provide resources for professionals to advance their careers.
SHPE Silicon Valley has been serving the Hispanic and Latino community in the Silicon Valley for over 26+ years.
2010 L.E.A.D. Conference
The 2010 L.E.A.D. (Leadership, Education, and Diversity) Annual Conference, “Personal ROI, The “ME” Investment” will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the headquarters of Genentech in South San Francisco.
This annual conference is organized by the San Francisco and San Jose Chapters of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) will host a variety of professional development workshops, career resources and educational sessions focused on building business relationships and creating opportunities for participants from all industries and career stages.
You will have unparalleled access to successful executives and recruiters from top local companies and B-Schools. You will also learn tools and strategies for obtaining an MBA and defining career paths with the broadest spectrum of career/industry coverage.

Symantec Executive Leadership Event
On Thursday, November 4th, SHPE Silicon Valley and NSHMBA San Jose are sponsoring an Executive Leadership and Networking Event at Symantec in Mountain View in partnership with HOLA (the Hispanic Outreach & Leadership Affinity @ Symantec).
A distinguished panel of local Silicon Valley executives including CEOs, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists will discuss their journey and experiences leading companies and provide valuable information for professionals looking to advance their careers and climb to the executive ranks. A Q&A session will allow the audience to ask questions to the panel.
All Bay Area and Silicon Valley professionals are welcome to attend the event and network with peers and executive leaders along with enjoy complimentary appetizers and drinks.
The event is free, but extremely limited in seating.

SHPE MBA Scholarship at Bentley University
The McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University is proud to offer SHPE members the opportunity to pursue graduate education through their McCallum Leadership Scholar Program. Two awards are available each year to active members of SHPE. One full-tuition scholarship is reserved for qualified candidates applying to the 2-year full-time MBA program.
