It’s with great pleasure to announce that Julissa Ramirez has been named Co-President of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) Silicon Valley Professional Chapter. Julissa will be working with Rosalinda Zepeda, current co-president, on growing the Silicon Valley chapter and continuing its mission of professional and community development in the Latino community.
Julissa is currently an Industrial engineer at Intel Corporation and Public Relations Chair for the Intel Latino Network, Intel’s Latino employee resource group. She brings a wealth of engineering knowledge and commitment to growing STEM within the Latino community. Julissa received her BS in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Technology at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in New York and has an MS in Manufacturing and Mechanical Systems also from RIT.
Outgoing co-president, David Silva, will support Julissa as she transitions into the role and is looking forward to the positive impact she will have in the community as a Latina leader.
