Community Relations

    SHPE-SV is made up of Hispanic professionals dedicated to the development of the Latino community on a national and local level. We are glad to support the Silicon Valley community through our EXCEL, NetDay programs as well as other community services activities.

Community Service

    SHPE SV members participate in various community service opportunities throught the peninsula. Schools, museums, other professional associations and corporations ask for volunteers from our membership for mentors, speakers, instructors, role models, and NetDay leads. Below is a short list of the community service events SHPE-SV has participated in. If you have a community service event you feel SHPE members could participate in let us know.

Year 2008

  • October – Noche de Ciencias / Family Science Night at Herman Intermediate School in San Jose
  • November – Migrant Youth Conference at National Hispanic University in San Jose
