On behalf of SHPE Region 1, we would like to cordially invite you to our Regional Leadership Development Conference taking place at UC Merced.
The Regional Leadership Development Conference (RLDC) was developed to foster an environment to accelerate and enhance our members’ leadership, management and technical skills. It is also designed to promote networking to help link SHPE’s undergraduate students, graduate students and professionals interested in local and regional outreach with SHPE Members.

Message from the Organizers
The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) is a 40 year national organization with over 10,000 members and supporters such as NASA, Chevron, and Boeing. SHPE is the largest Hispanic STEM related organization in the nation. SHPE has helped increase diversity within corporate America by directly assisting the development of students and professionals in STEM fields. One major method of assistance is the Regional Leadership Development Conference (RLDC).
The SHPE student chapter, Ingenieros Unidos, at the University of California, Merced is honored to co-host the RLDC with the Silicon Valley and San Francisco Bay Area Professional Chapters. The goals of the RLDC are to train members in effective leadership specifically. Attendees will interact in a professional manner and gain knowledge that is not commonly available. The RLDC will be an amalgam of social, professional, and leadership development. Through interactive and empowering workshops, attendees will gain useful skills, and by the end of the conference leave with a motivated mindset…
