PRASAD MODALI
Prasad is a senior principal engineer at Perceptual Computing group in Intel focusing on technology development in computer vision, cloud connectivity and deep learning areas for drones and smart cameras. Prasad and his team defined the system architecture and the execution of the Typhoon H Intel RealSense Technology product and the first IA based Intel Aero platform for UAV product launched recently. Prasad is currently leading Intel AT&T collaboration on LTE connected drone network performance analysis.
Previously, Prasad was the computer vision director for the smartphone and tablet products. He led development of GPS denied navigation on Intel SoC platforms, accelerated augmented reality flows, built dual-screen tablet product prototypes, developed wireless modems, ran engineering and physical design teams for networking SoCs, designed PLL circuits, cache memories, floating point units and IO buffers in several generations of Intel microprocessors.
