Come join the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and ONYX (Bay Area Black Professionals) for a Professional Development and Diversity Networking Event sponsored by Microsoft.

Spend an evening networking with local Bay Area and Silicon Valley professionals with speakers from Preston Ni discussing communication tips for engineers and Microsoft about its innovative culture.

Claudia Galvan, a Principal Lead Project Manager at Microsoft and one of the top Latinas in the company, will deliver the opening keynote at the event. She is currently leading the international versions of Windows Live Web Communication services (Hotmail, contacts and calendar) in up to 48 languages that reach 400-plus million users and Search and Alerts services at the Microsoft Silicon Valley campus. She has a master’s degree in program and project management from Golden Gate University and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Anahuac University in Mexico City. She was also the 2009 recipient of the Microsoft Women Empowerment award.
