Laura García-Manrique is Symantec’s Vice President of Consumer Product Management. In her current role, she is responsible for setting overall product strategy for the consumer product portfolio, and for building new online services and the next generation of cloud-based security services to protect consumers from a wide range of cybercrime threats. Laura is responsible for Norton 360™, Norton™ Internet Security, and Norton™ AntiVirus, the bulk of Symantec’s $1.8 billion consumer business.

In a previous capacity, Laura was responsible for Symantec’s Consumer Online Services and defined the strategy for and introduction of new online solutions for home users. She also drove Symantec’s next generation of cloud-based security solutions. Laura launched Norton Online Family, a new Web-based family safety service designed to help parents be aware of their children’s online activities while providing tools to keep children safe on the Internet.

Laura has more than 14 years of experience in the consumer technology space. She joined Symantec in 1995 and has served as Product Manager for both Norton AntiVirus and Norton Internet Security. Over the course of her career at Symantec, she has been instrumental in introducing several key new products to the consumer market, including Norton Internet Security (the first Internet security solution designed specifically for the home user) and Symantec’s first security solutions for handheld and smartphone devices.

A native of Spain, Laura holds degrees in Economic Sciences and Business Administration. She is a graduate of the University of Oviedo (Spain) and Dublin City University (Ireland).
