The SHPE Silicon Valley Professional Chapter and the Stanford SHPE Student Chapter (SSCLES) are hosting the SHPE Regional Leadership Development Conference (RLDC) at Stanford University on April 1-3, 2011. This year’s theme is The Entrepreneurial Engineer celebrating the courage, creativity, and fearless leadership required to develop an idea from concept to reality.

This year’s conference is expected to bring over 200 students and professionals throughout SHPE Region 1 in Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and Central/Northern California. Three tracks are available for undergraduate students, graduate students, and professionals. Visit the official conference website at http://sscles.stanford.edu/rldc/.

Friday, April 1st starts with our opening ceremony and professional networking mixer with conference attendees and special guests. Saturday, April 2nd is the start of the professional track consisting of an entrepreneurial panel, leadership and communication workshops, and seminars on leveraging career success. In the afternoon, Raul Vazquez (Executive VP of Global eCommerce at Walmart) will give a keynote to the conference attendees. Finally the day ends with our banquet and special keynote from Ellen Ochoa (first female Astronaut in space and Stanford alumni).

Registration Fees:
– Plan A – 3 day conference with lodging (2 days @ Sheraton Palo Alto Hotel): $100 (early), $125 (late)
– Plan B – Saturday only, without lodging: $50 (early), $75 (late)
– Plan C – Saturday only, without lodging, non-members: $75 (early), $100 (late)

Hotel Accommodations:
Accommodations for guests and attendees will be at The Sheraton Palo Alto Hotel (625 El Camino Real, Palo Alto, CA) right across the street from Stanford University.
