The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute

Educate, Empower, and Connect our nation’s future Latino leaders

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) is seeking professionals and college students to serve as mentors during its college-going event for Latino students, Ready to Lead (R2L). This year we will be hosting R2L San Jose on Saturday, May 14 at Santa Clara University.

The event brings together high school students (primarily Latino) from the San Jose area to encourage them to complete high school and pursue a college education. A highlight of the event is our Mentoring Power Hour, during which we host Latino area professionals and college students to show our participants that success is within reach. The session will take place from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm. We invite you to join us as a mentor to help educate, motivate, and empower the Next Generation of Latino leaders.

All mentors are invited to stay for lunch after the activity is over. All registered mentors will receive additional information once we get closer to the event, including logistics and agenda.

This is going to be a huge event and you won’t want to miss it! You can find additional information about CHCI here. If you are interested in volunteering, please register at www.chci.org/mentor.

If you have additional questions about the event, please contact me via email at dmartinez@chci.org or (202) 548-3306. Please feel free to share this with your network of Latino professionals and university students.
