On Thursday, November 4, 2010, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) and the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) hosted a one-of-a-kind Hispanic Corporate Executive Panel & Networking Event at Symantec in Mountain View in partnership with HOLA (the Hispanic Outreach & Leadership Affinity @ Symantec).
A distinguished panel of local Silicon Valley Hispanic executives in information security, consumer products, and human resources discussed their journey and experiences leading companies and provide valuable information for Hispanic professionals looking to advance their careers and climb to the executive ranks.
Panelists were Laura García-Manrique (VP, Product Management at Symantec), Teresa Ortiz-Luna (Senior Human Resources Director at Symantec), Alberto Yépez (Managing Director at Trident Capital), and Bill Valle (Head of Human Resources at Samsung Semiconductor).
Special moderator for the executive panel was Ron Gonzales, former Mayor of San Jose and current President of the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley.
