SHPE Silicon Valley is a proud sponsor of the 2011 MESA Senior Graduation and Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 10th at the Santa Clara Marriott Hotel.
MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Achievement) and SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) share the same mission of promoting education to underrepresented pre-college students in the Silicon Valley.
About MESA:
Every year in May the MESA Schools Program at San Jose State University celebrates its students with an annual Senior Graduation and Awards Ceremony. The event is to highlight the outstanding achievement that the MESA students have accomplished throughout their pre-college career and award them through scholarships for higher education.
The program is dedicated to helping students achieve success into higher education by providing the tools they need to get there. We target over 1,000 low-income first generation students and have seen over 75% go on to higher education.
