On Wednesday, May 30th at the Fox Theatre in Oakland, please join the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) along with ALPFA, NHORA, CHispPA and other SF Bay Area Latino networks for a Going Away Celebration honoring Jesse Torres, a great friend and outstanding Latino leader in the San Francisco Bay Area representing the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF).

It wasn’t too long ago in 2010 that Jesse had a vision to reach out to SHPE to collaborate on events with the HSF and other Bay Area Latino organizations to increase professional development and networking. As a result, we kicked off our first joint collaboration event in January 2011 at the Press Club in San Francisco with the HSF Alumni Network (pictures here).

So let’s walk with Jesse to the beginning of a new stage in his professional life as we celebrate his legacy of unity and collaboration with a farewell toast and wish him continued success in the Lone Star State (Texas).
