Background

At Noche De Ciencias, students will experience various hands-on activities about the different fields of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with volunteers who are real-life and aspiring engineers and scientists.

While the students enjoy their activities, parents will participate in round-tables to learn about college admissions and programs available to finance higher education costs. They will also learn how and why its important to start preparing early.

The Students

This Fall, our participants will be 5 to 8 year-old students of Los Arboles Elementary School. The event will take place during an afternoon assembly and will be part of their school curriculum.

Volunteering

We are expecting a large enthusiastic group of approximately 200 students between ages 5 to 8, as well as parents to participate.  Some of our volunteer opportunities are:

  • Set-up
  • STEM Activities
  • Parent Workshops
  • Audio & Video
  • Clean-up

We need your help!
