We very proud to announce that the 4th Annual Noche de Ciencias Event sponsored by IBM on Wednesday, October 5th 2011 at Los Arboles Elementary School was a huge success. Approximately 120 students and 70 parents from the school and local community attend.
We couldn’t have achieved this type of success without the passion and commitment by all the volunteers, SHPE members, and professionals from local Bay Area companies such as IBM, Google, NASA, Lockheed Martin, Symantec, and Ahorrando Juntos. All the volunteers and sponsors of the event contributed to educating and inspiring the next generation of Latino/Hispanic youth to excel in math and science which is the foundation for a great career and future.
Thank you IBM for sponsoring Noche de Ciencias for the 4th consecutive year and Telemundo 48 for sharing our event on live TV with the entire Latino community in the San Francisco Bay Area.
