This is a great event for our professional members to learn how to leverage your executive presence and to communicate with impact from some of the country’s best speaking coaches, Lisa Atkins and Chris Melching of Center Stage Group.

Bill Valle, Samsung Semiconductor, Inc., Head of Human Resources
Bill Valle is the top HR executive responsible for all aspects of human resources, partnering with employees and executive leadership throughout North America and South Korea. Prior to Samsung, Bill held executive HR positions at AT&T Wireless and SBC Communications. These HR leadership roles include Director of Management Recruiting and Employment at Pacific Bell, HR Re-engineering, HR Information Systems. As an Executive Director Bill was responsible for half the USA territory during the explosive growth in the wireless business. Bill graduated from Whittier College with a double major in Biology and Psychology. Bill also attended executive development programs at the University of Southern California and Harvard Business School. Bill also holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources lifetime certification.

Raul Tapia, Microsoft Corporation, Inclusion and Diversity Officer and Corporate Account Manager
Raul has over 20 years professional sales career in high-tech industry including 12 years with Microsoft. His experience includes leading sales teams of seasoned professionals through strategic and highly-complex IT solutions. Raul is responsible for overall customer relationship management with top high-tech manufacturing companies in the San Francisco Bay area. He is proficient in leading multi-million dollar contract negotiations. His specialties include C-level relationship management; strategic account management; new opportunity development, and consultative selling methodology. Raul studied Marketing at Santa Clara University.

Alejandra Carvallo, Intel Corporation, US Shopping Marketing and Audience Manager

Elba Linscott, Cisco Systems, Director of Employee Engagement for Conexion and IT Project Manager
Elba has been with Cisco for 8 years. She is an officer for Conexion, Cisco’s Employee Resource Group for Hispanic employees. She is also an IT project manager and has managed critical cloud storage service at Cisco that resulted in a projected cost savings of over $5M. She is responsible for managing all operational aspects of Cisco’s public cloud storage solution, including on-boarding, design, implementation and support. She has implemented critical integration projects with Fortune 50 customers. Elba has an Executive MBA from Saint Mary’s College and a BS in Management Information Systems and Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

Maryann Baumgarten, Microsoft Corporation, Learning and Development Manager
For over 12 years, Maryann has been helping Microsoft employees engage and grow. She currently develops global strategy and curriculum for the Microsoft Academy for College Hires, aka MACH. MACH is a two year people development program which attracts and retains university talent helping Microsoft continue to build a diverse, innovative organization. Prior to MACH, Maryann spent 8 years with Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business. She is the co-author of #Engage: 140 Bite Sized Ideas to Bring Energy to Your Work and Your Life due out in Sept 2012. She also holds a BS in Social Science, MA in Organizational Management and Development, MA in Human Development and is expected to complete her PhD in Human and Organizational Systems in 2013.
