Women of ALPFA, Building Latina Leaders Strong from the Inside Out, is the premier professional development event for Latinas in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This year’s event will be held on July 19, 2012 at the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco from 11:30AM – 7:30PM. It includes a keynote by nationally recognized Clinical Psychologist Dr. Ana Nogales, and a fashion show by Banana Republic.

With over 400 Latino and Latina leaders (executives, professionals, and students) from the Bay Area expected to attend, its going to be a fantastic event to help build Latina leaders.

Motivational Speaker: Dr. Ana Nogales

Dr. Nogales is a clinical psychologist, founder of Nogales Psychological Counseling, Inc., and Clinical Director of the nonprofit organization Casa de la Familia, which she established for victims of rape, sexual assault, child sexual and physical abuse, human trafficking, and domestic violence. The author of four books—including Latina Power: Using Your 7 Strengths to Say No to Abusive Relationships; Parents Who Cheat: How Children and Adults Are Affected When Their Parents Are Unfaithful; and Latina Power! Using Your 7 Strengths to Create the Success You Deserve—Dr. Nogales is also a well-known television and radio psychologist as well as a writer for Psychology Today.com. and other blogs and periodicals. Dr. Nogales’ innovative high school curriculum LaTEENa Power! – 7 Inner Strengths for Creating Success is offered in schools and community groups throughout the country. Her life and accomplishments were featured in the exhibit “Latinas: The Spirit of California” at the California Museum for History, Women, and the Arts, in Sacramento.
